Michael Hey (St. Patrick's Cathedral, NYC and Marble Collegiate Church, NYC) and the OAS Festival Brass will present a program of favorite music for organ and brass quintet as well as organ solo music by Dupre and other masters.

Described as “scintillating” and “tremendously virtuosic” (The Straits Times, Singapore), organist Michael Hey has established himself as a leading concert artist in the U.S. and abroad. He performs both solo and collaboratively, ranging from organ concertos with major American orchestras to recitals in historic cathedrals and churches.

In 2023, Michael was appointed Director of Music and Organist of the historic Marble Collegiate Church in Manhattan, where he directs multiple choirs and plays organ. From 2015 to 2023, he served as Associate Director of Music and Organist at Saint Patrick’s Cathedral in New York City. One of his first major appearances there was performing for the sole U.S. visit of Pope Francis. He played for over 700 services annually at Saint Patrick’s, many of which were broadcast on SiriusXM, television, and online.

In September 2017, Michael won first prize in the Shanghai Conservatory of Music’s inaugural International Organ Competition. That same year, he released his premiere solo album, Michael T. C. Hey Plays the Great Organ of Saint Patrick’s Cathedral in New York, available from JAV Recordings.

An avid collaborator, Michael enjoys performing with renowned singers, instrumentalists, and other artists, and regularly appears in duo with violinist Christiana Liberis.

He is a graduate of The Juilliard School, where he earned both his B.M. and M.M. degrees in organ performance under Paul Jacobs.
